  Wonderful tranquillity. Beautiful setting and views. Lovely hosts in Nicholas and Barbara. Idyllic, is the best way to describe Dromana House.

  If you are visiting Ireland, the Dromana House and Gardens is a wonderful place to stay as your home base. Barbara and Nick are wonderful people and beyond gracious hosts. The home is beyond lovely. The estate and gardens are a joy to wander around. And gracious, the history is astounding. Take the tour with Barbara if you stay. Her family has owned the lush property for about 800 years and the love they have is evident. We stayed for a week and it felt like home in every way. It's near everything in Southern Ireland. We highly recommend this beautiful place perched above the stunning River Blackwater for your visit to a country filled with interesting sites and even more interesting folks to talk with. In fact our family has stayed here twice. It is that perfect.
